What the Critics say
Laetitia Pople Bitter blik op magspel.
Alex Isaacs I know a lot of people might not get this film. It might be seen as pretentious or ludicrous or any manner of negative things, but to me it is a must-see. If you love movies and seeing a cast and crew firing on all cylinders, then go watch this movie. It is worth more than the price of admission.
Tomatometer The Favourite sees Yorgos Lanthimos balancing a period setting against rich, timely subtext - and getting roundly stellar performances from his well-chosen stars.
