Mary Fiore (Lopez) is a highly successfull wedding planner whose passion and creative vision make her client's dreams come alive. But to get to this position she has ignored working on her own fairytale ending. That is until she accidentally meets Dr. Steve Edison (McConaughey).Witty, intelligent and gorgeous, he seems to have it all. But as Mary begins to melt she discovers one or two complications -- Steve is engaged to a client, and this client wants to throw the biggest wedding Mary has ever handled.
With so much riding on this one account Mary tries to ignore her growing feelings. But the longer she spends with the happy couple the harder she finds it to keep to the golden rule, never fall in love with the groom.
